Mr. Yuen has been a speaker and lecturer at Real Estate Forums and Seminars sponsored by the Los Angeles County Bar Association.In 1994, Mr. Yuen co-founded Jung & Yuen, LLP, where his area of legal practice focuses in real estate acquisition, development, leasing, construction, banking and lender work. Mr. Yuen’s recent transactions on behalf of his developer clients include the acquisition, development and construction of the San Gabriel Hilton Hotel, the site acquisition and development of the Sheraton Hotel in the City of El Monte, and the entitlement, development negotiations with the City of San Gabriel to construct a Hyatt Place hotel. Mr. Yuen’s representation of the firm’s lender clients include loan documentation for hotel and commercial real estate financing. Mr. Yuen was formerly the general counsel for LYW Group of Companies where his practice focused on commercial and residential real estate transactions, development of affordable and low income housing and general business practice. During his tenure at LYW, Mr. Yuen was lead counsel in the development of the $36,400,000 Grand Plaza mixed-use commercial / senior citizen project and the $6,500,000 Bartlett Hill Manor Apartments. Both projects were developed in the Los Angeles Chinatown area to provide affordable housing to the community, and involved combination of public/private funding with the City of Los Angeles, The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. |
